August - 2010. Refitting gear.
My Great Lakes is going back on it's wheels for the first time since around 2006.

Fitting the wheels.

NOTE: the sleave over the axel is fitted the incorrect way round in this picture and the brake bracket is also incorrect!!!!

I have not refitted the wheel pant bracket as they are damaged and I need to make new ones.

NOTE: the sleave over the axel is fitted the incorrect way round in this picture, also brake bracket is the wrong way round. It should be in the front of the axel.

Wheel back on for the first time since arriving from America.
The axel sleave is fitted the correct way round in this picture. But the brake bracket is NOT! I didn't spot this until I checked spat fitting later.
The parts are already dusty from being in my workshop.
