My Great Lakes 2T-1A-2 Rebuild Diary 2008.

22-March-2008. Pilot Seat.
Today I continued work on the pilots seat, and prepared the top right wing ready for fabric covering.

This is the original pilots seat, which has been modified for a back pack parachute.
The inner removed from the frame.
The replacement inner I made yesterday .
Holes for rivets drilled, now the sides need to be made.
Back at Aeroweld I used the bending machine to form the sides of the seat.

There is a bar at the back of the seat (on the frame) that needs to be welded, so I will not rivet it now.
Back home and it's time to prepare the wings ready for fabric covering. I started on the top right wing.
Top right wing tap with anti-chafe tape.
