My Great Lakes 2T-1A-2 Rebuild Diary 2007.

19-August-2007. Still organising the workshop, unpacking boxes and discovering parts I didn't know I had. Inspector is coming on Friday evening, so I need as much ready as possible.
I have also created a HELP ME page on this site for areas/parts etc that I don't know what fits. Please have a look especially if you have a Great Lakes 2T-1A-2.
Here is this evenings progress:

I found this new heater kit, it even has it's original Great Lakes receipt with it.

Today I started unpacking the undercarriage legs.

The previous owner has already started to strip them of paint. I may take the covers off the legs and overhall completely.

I will clean and grease this area to make sure it does not corrode while I am working on the aircraft.

This cover has a patch, need to look into making a new cover.

This one has been out of alignment and warn - the top half is fiberglass.
